In 2012, Marcus Thomas aligned its business into four core areas: Business to Business, Consumer Packaged Goods, Professional Services and Home and Garden. Planning, account service, creative, media, public relations and digital expertise was aligned into groups around each of these categories, to focus thinking around the industry rather than the tactic or touch point. This shift from departmental structure to category-specific groups was designed to give Marcus Thomas a view of a client’s business beyond ads, beyond pr, beyond social, beyond technology alone — true holistic marketing.
Today, Marcus Thomas announced its selection as Digital Agency of Record for Sherwin-Williams Paint and Sundries Brands — Dutch Boy®, Purdy®, Krylon® and Pratt & Lambert® brands.
It looks like the category alignment is beginning to pay dividends to the agency and, soon, to its new home and garden client.
Welcome to the family Sherwin-Williams. Welcome.
